We are delighted to be hosting an event with one of the world’s leading wine experts, Oz Clarke. We will be celebrating the publication of ‘A Vine is a Wild Thing’

A Vine is a Wild Thing
The iconic guide to grapes, growers and gloriously good bottles

“Oz is one of the wine greats and this book embodies all his best qualities. Buy it for everyone you know!” – Victoria Moore, BBC Good Food
“Sheer, giddy joy”- Jancis Robinson
“Oz is brilliant. His knowledge of wines and sense of humour always cut to the chase”– Jamie Oliver

Good wine has personality, and so should a good wine guide.
In this iconic and passionately opinionated guide to the world of wine, legendary writer Oz Clarke pops the cork on his lifelong love affair with grape and glass. Drawing on a lifetime of tasting, travelling and storytelling, Oz reinvents wine writing to reveal a fundamental truth: the more you learn and understand your glass, the better it tastes.
Oz is the ideal drinking companion on your journey to better your knowledge and improve your enjoyment of wine – bursting with practical, inspiring and ceaselessly entertaining information on the modern world of wine including everything from sustainability to the essentials of how wine is grown and made today.
So whether you are yearning to drink your way across the classic regions, or discover the new and unexplored, taste the greatest Bordeaux or find the simplest local wine bar quaffers – Oz shares detailed tasting notes on the wines he drinks and where to find them, unearthing hidden gems and maverick makers along the way.

Rich with stories and infectious enthusiasm, this is the ultimate companion on your journey to understanding and enjoying wine.
