Building on from our previous sell out shows, we are delighted to announce the next comedy night at the DCBL Stadium in partnership with local promoter The Giggle Shack!

MC Jon Capewell will introduce Dan Nightingale, Paul Tonkinson and Hayley Ellis for another night of fun at the DCBL Stadium.

Dan Nightingale

Fresh out of university in the early noughties, Dan began his journey in the world of comedy by working behind the bar at a local comedy club. Little did he know, this humble start would lay the foundation for his future career. Within months, he found himself stepping onto the stage for the first time, and from that moment, he was thrust into the spotlight of the comedy scene.Dan emerged as one of stand-up’s brightest stars, showcasing a natural flair for performance and an undeniable originality.

Nightingale founded the Have a Word podcast with fellow comedian Adam Rowe and Paul Ince in 2020 and in 2022 it won Best Podcast at the Chortle Awards. A few years in and they’ve had some of the UK’s top household names join them on the famous orange sofa, as well as some of the funniest comedians from the USA. Jimmy Carr, Andrew Schulz, Jason Manford, Shane Gillis, Romesh Ranganathan to name a few…

Hayley Ellis

Northerner Hayley Ellis is not only a solid act but also a multi-award winning MC and has provided tour support for Sarah Millican, John Bishop and Jason Manford. Her comedy is sharp, clever and very funny, and her warmth, quick wit and ability to ad lib means she is one of the fastest rising women in comedy.

Hayley is a former regular sight gag contributor for the Russell Howard's Good News television programme and has also written for 8 out of 10 Cats. She has appeared on MTV’s “Why aye love Geordie Shore” and “Comedy Set Lists” for Virgin television. She can also sometimes be heard on your wireless (Absolute Radio) and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack (Radio 4) .
