The Giggleshack Comedy Night
Building on from our previous sell out shows, we are delighted to announce the next comedy night at the DCBL Stadium in partnership with local promotor Giggle Shack and Widnes Vikings.
MC Jon Capewell will introduce Mick Ferry, Peter Brush and Emmanuel Sonubi for another night of fun at the DCBL Stadium.
Mick Ferry
Manchester based Mick Ferry stepped foot on stage for the first time in 1997 and has since established himself as one of the most sought after comperes and headliners in the UK, writing regularly for some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy. Mick's TV credits include performances on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Sky1’s John Bishop’s Only Joking and three series of The Comedy Store for Comedy Central.
"See him or regret it. A great comedian." - John Bishop
"Absolute legend. Incredibly funny." - Jason Manford
Peter Brush
A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush conquers the stage with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion. Peter performs at all major clubs across the UK as well as many of its biggest festivals. Formerly a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, he has written for several BBC Radio 4 shows and has been tour support for Alexei Sayle, Jonathan Pie, Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha.
‘I love Peter Brush, what a comic’ - Jason Manford
‘Compellingly hilarious.. first-class gag writing… an original and achingly funny voice’ – Chortle
Emmanuel Sonubi
London-based stand up, Emmanuel Sonubi, started in comedy only a few years ago and quickly grew to earn himself a reputation as “one to watch out for”. Now, one of the UK’s most in-demand comedians, Sonubi is a powerhouse on stage, delivering unstoppable energy, razor-sharp wit, and stories that hit hard as he can and still land even harder. His TV appearances include Live at the Apollo (BBC2), Stand Up UK (Comedy Central) and The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2).
"A new talent at the door of stand up, his name's down and he's definitely coming in." - Russell Kane
"The bloke has got funny bones, he's incredibly likeable.. despite looking like he could snap you in two!" - Romesh Ranganathan
